2024/2025 Registration Notice

After our Annual General Meeting held April 30^th, 2024, the registration rates for the 2024/2025 season were passed as follows:

Registration fee covers assigned ice, referee costs for home games, and one pair of socks.

In order to take advantage of our Early Bird rates above, player registrations must be completed by May 25th, 2024. Registrations after this date will be subject to an additional cost of $100 per player. After May 26th, 2024, late registrations risk late fees, waiting lists, and are not guaranteed a spot on a team.

WAITING LISTS: Participants are encouraged to register regardless of waitlist status so we can accurately gauge numbers & interest.

ADDITIONAL FEES:
Team Fees - any fees required per the team, over and above registration fees, that are determined by the team manager/coach after teams have been created.
Team fees may be requested by managers/coaches from all age groups (U5 - U18) and levels of play (both 3C & OMHA)
Amounts are based on each individual team's budget needs for the season and collected from parents typically immediately after team creation, ahead of fundraising & sponsorship efforts
Money collected is used to secure tournaments, book team building activities, order practice jerseys, pay game officials (timekeepers), cover any exhibition games (referees & timekeepers), book additional ice where required, etc.
Participation in Team Fundraising is a crucial part of a team's ability to cover these costs and minimize Team Fee costs to parents

 

Early registration is KEY – our ice contracts for the upcoming season are due at the City of Kawartha Lakes June 1st and to make decisions regarding the number of teams we will have, accurate player counts are needed. If you want us to have space for your player, register now!

Full payment can be made for the year when you register. For those who wish to split their payments up, the following payments/due dates should be followed:

 

 

You must remain current with your payments – failure to do so may result in your child not being able to go on the ice when we start in September.

We recommend that payments be made via e-transfers or cheques. E-transfers can be sent to [email protected] – please note your child’s name on the transfer so that payment can be applied properly. For families paying for multiple children, you can combine payments and submit them as one e-transfer provided you give a proper breakdown in the notes. Cash payments are also accepted but not preferred. If you pay by cash or cheque, please contact the treasurer or the registrar  [email protected] to make payment arrangements.

For those families applying for external funding (ie - Jumpstart), it is important to email the treasurer of your intent to do so and when funding is approved, you will need to forward your funding confirmation.

Discounts: Families with 3+ participants registered from the same household and home address are eligible for a discount. Contact [email protected] for information.

ALL NEW PLAYERS: As per OMHA policy, one parent per player must complete the mandatory “Respect in Sport” parent program AFTER registering online with Mariposa Minor Hockey, as well as submit a copy of your child’s birth certificate before September 1^st, 2022, to our registrar. You can scan or take a photo and email it.

*** While filling in your registration information please check your email and phone number. Please double check your email address, we had quite a few incorrect last seasons and these members did not receive the MMHA email updates and announcements.

For members looking for a PTS or an NRP to attend tryouts outside of our association. Please follow these steps:

Register on the HCR 3.0 site with Mariposa first for the 2024-2025 season
(no charge)
--> Choose the Mariposa Permission to Skate/NRP 2024/2025

Then, fill out the appropriate form on our website under Registration.
