Atom LL Blue, U8, 2016-2017 (Mariposa Minor Hockey)

Congratulations to the Mariposa Atom Blue team for going undefeated and winning the Norwood Tournament over the weekend!  The boys did an excellent job playing as a team and also showed well in the Skills Competition.  Great work boys! 

A big congratulations to the Mariposa Lightning Atom Blue team who were the Millbrook Tournament Champions this past weekend. The team went undefeated!  The Lightning had to work as a team and skate hard to eliminate the Sturgeon Thunder (2-1)  in the semi-final.  The boys then faced off against the Char-lan Rebels from Cornwall in the final game, winning the tournament with a 3-1 victory.  Awesome job boys!

The Mariposa Atom Blue team came to the rink with their mustaches on in support of the Movember Foundation for tonight’s game.   The Movember Foundation (Canada) is addressing some of the biggest health issues faced by men including prostate cancer, testicular cancer, mental health and suicide prevention.   The game was planned to raise awareness with our boys and we will be making a donation to the foundation on behalf of our team.  We want to thank Sturgeon Lake Thunder Black team for participating in this event with us!
